A sustainable company considers not only its environmental impact but also the social implications of its actions. In particular, social sustainability encompasses corporate practices that promote the well-being of workers, enhancing their skills and supporting their professional growth. Furthermore, the human well-being generated by sustainable practices has a positive ripple effect, benefiting the surrounding territories and communities in which the company operates. Key activities in social sustainability include actions aimed at improving occupational well-being, such as measures to support work-life balance.
Objectives achieved in 2024
Improving product quality and customer information
Brianza Plastica continues to invest in daily training initiatives. The Isotec Academy is a key platform for designers and operators in the construction industry, focusing on the topics of energy saving, sustainability, redevelopment and energy efficiency. Each year, the company organises webinars, in-person training sessions, and installation schools in collaboration with Building Schools across the country. Since 2024, these events have also included the Isotec Parete product, aimed at familiarising industry professionals and applicators with the Isotec brand, and highlighting its extreme simplicity and versatility. All events are free of charge, and, where applicable, professional training credits are issued.
Raising awareness of ESG issues among Brianza Plastica's internal and external stakeholders and related communication
- Brianza Plastica has engaged select company profiles to act as Sustainability Ambassadors.
- The company has also created and published a Sustainability Glossary and launched an ESG column, supported by a sustainability communication campaign across social media and the corporate/product websites.
- Furthermore, sustainability information is displayed on notice boards in production departments.
Supporting and developing the local community
Brianza Plastica is firmly rooted in the local community and has built a legacy of over 60 years of history through initiatives carried out by both its founder, accountant Giuseppe Crippa, and his children. The company actively promotes sustainability and circular economy principles through collaborations with local educational institutions. It also fosters entrepreneurial culture in high schools across the province by supporting student initiatives and offering scholarships. This initiative is further enhanced by student visits to the production departments in Carate Brianza.
Supporting and developing the community
Brianza Plastica has always been active in promoting and supporting numerous projects dedicated to health and social inclusion in Italy and abroad. These efforts are communicated to employees through internal channels.
For over 30 years, the company has supported the “Fondazione Corti” for the Lacor Hospital in Uganda, which has become the largest non-profit hospital in Equatorial Africa (Home - Fondazione Corti).
Since 2003, Brianza Plastica has been supporting the project “Dalle Stalle Alle Stelle” (From the Stables to the Stars), promoted by the “I Bambini delle Fate” social enterprise, which is carried out within the “Vittorio di Capua” Equestrian Rehabilitation Centre and integrated with Niguarda Hospital in Milan. The initiative is dedicated to supporting patients, especially children with physical and mental disabilities, through sports and educational activities. These activities are carried out in close contact with nature and animals and are designed to promote both physical and psychological development (AMICI DEL CENTRO – MILANO NIGUARDA | I Bambini delle Fate)
