Brianza Plastica S.p.A. was founded in 1962 to produce translucent laminates in fibreglass for commercial and industrial applications. Over the years, the production was expanded with sites in Italy and Europe, introducing new products able to meet the most varied roofing needs.

In the eighties, the company entered the field of thermal insulation for roofs and walls in the residential and industrial sectors: the Isotec® system was born in 1984, an innovative under-tile thermal insulation panel in polyurethane.

1988 saw the start of production of Elycop® curved panels, a roofing system for industrial applications. Over the years, the company continued in the production and constant research and implementation of fibreglass products, expanding its range and finishes of flat and curved sheets and rolls, wavy, corrugated or smooth, opaque or translucent, for a wide variety of applications in fields such as agriculture, farming, commerce and the industrial sector, as well as motor vehicles (trucks, buses) and recreational vehicles (campers and caravans).

The Ferrandina (MT) production site was established in 2003 to increase and enhance the production of the ISOTEC thermal insulation panel, the ideal under-tile element for new roofs and for the renovation of old roofs, and Elyfoam®, the thermal insulation panel in polystyrene.

The acquisition of the two production sites in Rovigo and Ostellato to produce Elycold® laminates with discontinuous cold-lamination procedures – in 2006 and 2008 respectively – and the inauguration in 2009 of a new production line in the Carate Brianza site dedicated to Elyplan® continuous hot-lamination products, has made Brianza Plastica one of the most important players in the global market of fibreglass laminates, with an extremely flexible production capacity able to meet the most varied market requirements.

The new logistics-sales headquarters of Brianza USA Corporation in Elkhart, Indiana was opened in 2014 to serve the US market and to strengthen the group’s commercial presence in the territory.

In the summer of 2016, a new production site was opened in Rovigo for the production of Elycold® cold-rolled laminates and a new Elyplan® continuous production line was inaugurated in the Carate Brianza site. These investments have allowed increasing the production capacity by more than 40%, which in turn will allow Brianza Plastic to meet the market demands in the years to come.

At the beginning of 2019, the new chemical laboratory was inaugurated, almost tripling the previous surface area and significantly improving the equipment used to carry out most of the chemical-physical tests on both the raw materials and on the finished products. The new facility is equipped with the most advanced instruments to support the production processes of the insulation panels and composite laminates.
